A Glasgow-based training organisation is embarking on an ambitious growth spurt aimed at increasing revenues by more than 50%.
Kissing With Confidence, which specialises in sales and business development skills, is implementing a strategy which will not only continue to grow clients’ businesses but will also transform its own operations.
The core element will be major sales growth, taking turnover to £1.5m, and seeking stronger relationships with Scottish businesses as well as in its main markets in the wider UK. Turnover at present is £900,000 in the year to December 31, 2017, up 10% from the previous year.
Russell Wardrop, co-founder and chief executive of Kissing With Confidence, said: “The company has been successful since its inception 17 years ago and now it is time to move into a new phase of concentrated growth.
“Our courses on business and talent development will be rolled out to a wider audience and our data gathering processes will continue to demonstrate the quantifiable benefits for an expanded client base.”
The company has already built up an enviable client portfolio including household names such as the City of London Corporation, Deloitte, Aggreko, Costain, the Green Investment Bank and the University of Edinburgh.
It has also attracted the attention of award-winning high growth business specialist Brian Williamson as Entrepreneur-in-Residence to help pilot the company towards, and potentially beyond, its expansion targets.

“Although we are based in Scotland and have distinguished clients such as Burness Paull, the top tier Scottish commercial law firm, 80% of our work is carried out outside Scotland. So one of our key targets will be bringing the Kissing With Confidence offering to more clients north of the border.”
The growth plan is expected to create new employment opportunities, building on Kissing With Confidence’s current staff complement of 12.
