Case Study
Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity
“The clear objectives that I set for this training were all achieved and have most certainly left staff in a confident place with the toolkit to build from. Very few trainers are able to truly reflect the different needs, priorities and challenges of a Charity from other businesses – but Richard broke through this on day one. Every aspect of the training had a place in our overall development and regrowth plans.”
Chief Exec, Kirsten Watson
For the past 20 years, Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, has worked hand in hand with their partners at NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde to fund support services, equipment and projects that promote maternity, neonatal and paediatric healthcare throughout the West of Scotland, and that helps to enhance the care and experience that children receive.
Chief Exec Kirsten Watson had two goals. The first one was to bring the entire team together in a collaborative learning experience after the pandemic and almost two years of home working and the second, to encourage an environment where business development is embraced and carried out by every department within the Charity; from Operations and Finance, to Fundraising and Marketing. With the fundraising landscape having dramatically changed throughout the pandemic, a focus on building, developing and retaining relationships across all sectors of society was paramount, with a clear focus on embracing change in order to support the growth required to achieve the vision and values of the Charity.
We identified a programme of 12 modules from our Precision Learning Framework. These intensive 90-minute workshops, provide flexibility for delegates to access learning in small bite sized chunks. Delivered in the room, Dr Richard Norris ran the programme over 4 days, fitting in with operational requirements. The format was fast-paced, interactive, practical and outcome-focused. This was combined with the fabulous KWCWONDERWALLS and ensured the additional information would help embed the learning.
