ABOUT THE AUTHOR RETURN TO BLOG LISTING

2013 has been a busy year for me, I joined KWC as their new Client Services Co-Ordinator, and I bought my first ever puppy; a beautiful, miniature dachshund called 'Basil'.

Taking on new roles and responsibilities meant that there were a number of new stresses in my life; but thankfully the need to plan and organise comes naturally to me, and I was soon colour-coordinating my way through the year. However, in a bid not to become overwhelmed I made sure that I allocated enough ‘me’ time . . . One such treat involved going to the new Glasgow SSE Hydro to see one of my favourite bands ‘Queens of the Stoneage’, it was a great concert and a truly huge venue.  I also signed up to a Puppy Socialisation class,  a great way to socialise your puppy and learn the basic commands; it also allowed me to watch a group of puppies play on a weekly basis, which is a great stress reliever.

Now that Christmas is almost here, I plan to fully hang-up my organisational strategies,  and for the first year ever my partner and I are hiring a car and are driving down south to stay with family. I have already printed off a Google map with set, dog-friendly break-points along the way, but that is where my organisational planning will cease. This Christmas I fully intend to ‘Go With The Flow’, sit back and relax, watching the puppy shenanigans unfold; little Basil will have the added joy of befriending my dad’s one-year-old cockapoo puppy for a whole week!

Wishing you a relaxing Christmas and New Year break.
