I recently joined Kissing With Confidence as their new Client Services Co-ordinator and a few weeks in I am delighted to say that I could not be happier. The team is extremely efficient and in terms of the people, well you definitely need a sense of humour!
As Client Services Co-ordinator I have to be extremely organised and thankfully having a degree in Analytical Philosophy this logical thought comes naturally to me. Bring on the colour-coded diary planner and automated to-do lists!
I have also found that many of the philosophical theories that I studied are well suited and relevant. Take the Utilitarian approach: what can I do to achieve the greatest amount of happiness/success/etc. for the greatest number of people? (Roughly and in my terms) Within my role I deal with a lot of different people to make sure that our events run smoothly. How do I achieve the best possible results for the greatest number of people? My personal approach is to always make sure that I take the time to step back and reflect, keep organised and remember that I am human; no one likes to talk to a machine (Philosophically, make sure that your ghost is in there!).
For now, I am enjoying getting into the swing of things and I look forward to sharing future philosophical observations.
